Patrika Jan Gan Man Yatra
Editor-in-Chief Gulab Kothari’s ground journey across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to hear from voters directly.
Shri Gulab Kothari, Editor-in-Chief of Patrika Group, started the Jan-Gan-Man Yatra (Phase 1) from Jaipur to understand the issues, problems and expectations of the people of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
In Rajasthan, Shri Kothari travelled 1,200 km from September 12 to 17, visiting 57 assembly constituencies across 18 districts. In Madhya Pradesh, he travelled 803 km from September 19 to 23, visiting 39 assembly constituencies across 7 districts. In Chhattisgarh, he travelled 731 km from September 26 to 29, visiting 32 assembly constituencies across 8 districts — aiming to capture the pulse of these states, evaluate ongoing government programmes and understand the prevailing political atmosphere.
During the yatra, Mr. Kothari arrived in Durg, Chhattisgarh on November 6, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi — in Durg for a public meeting of his own — met with him and listened to his experiences from the Bastar region.
